SPOTLIGHT: Tom Misuraca

Over in Southern California, one of our community members — Tom Misuraca, author of Stage Kiss — will proudly be presenting not one, but TWO shows for the stage later this year!

IFs (Imaginary Friends) is a whimsical and touching comedy about childhood companions, growing up and finding connection in unexpected places. It will be presented live on stage at Trinity Theatre Company on
Fridays and Saturdays, beginning at 7 p.m. Nov. 28-29, Dec. 5-6, Dec. 12-13, and in Sundays matinees at 2 p.m. Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.

Golden Age, presented by Force of Nature Productions, is an ode to superheroes — specifically, aging ones. As the three remaining members of a superhero group wait out their final days in a nursing home designed specifically for them, they try to come to terms with their lessened powers while their arch-villain, Mr. Malevolent, moves into the home. He plans to use his mind control devices on the comatose heroes to create an army to take over the world. In order to stop him, the former heroes must put aside their differences and work as a team.

Golden Age will premiere on Friday, Nov. 7, and run through Saturday, Nov. 22.
