Our friend — and contributor — Joe Ponepinto, author of “What We Choose to Remember” in Issue 1.1, has some news to share!
As a long-time editor of Orca Literary, Ponepinto recently made the decision to shut down the journal. We are so sad to see it go, but its last two issues are available now, and Ponepinto has moved on to a new venture: the Beyond Craft Substack!
Beyond Craft is a Substack dedicated to helping writers (both established and emerging) to better understand their endeavor — everything from working more creatively and/or efficiently, to identifying publishing opportunities and knowing what to avoid along the way. They do this by publishing essays from people involved in the industry, from long-time editors, and from publishers to practicing writers to people new to the craft.
